Six things worth checking first.
Get other quotes, genuinely. These are the questions we would want answered if we were choosing an agency ourselves.
Can you see their previous work? A real portfolio and honest reviews tell you more than any pitch. Ours are on show, and every review is five stars.
Do you know who you would be working with? We are based in Hampshire and work with clients across the UK and overseas, and our About page tells you exactly who you will deal with.
Have you checked their site on your phone? Over half of your visitors will arrive on mobile. Every site we build is tested on phone, tablet and desktop before it launches.
Do they mention cookies and privacy at all? A site legally needs a cookie policy, a privacy policy, and a way to opt out of non-essential cookies. If an agency's own site skips this, treat it as a warning sign.
Is there any pricing on their website at all? We list our Web Starter packages with real prices because we believe in being upfront. Plenty of agencies make you ask just to find a number.
What happens if something goes wrong? Backups stored in the same place as your site do not help in a real disaster. We keep ours somewhere else entirely, and can get you back online quickly.
