Twenty-five years in IT, most of it spent on things that had to be built and then kept running: infrastructure, products, software integrations. Most recently as a Director of Product Management at GoDaddy, which is where the detail of the hosting industry and what actually makes a website succeed became a day job rather than an interest.
Web X started as sites for friends and family, mostly because taking an idea from a sketch through to something live never stopped being satisfying. It is a proper business now, and the best part of it is still the moment a client sees their new site for the first time and says the thing you were hoping they would say.
What that means for you is that the person designing your site has also run the servers, managed the products and dealt with the support queues. Very little about a website surprises us at this point.

Not values on a wall. These are the specific complaints we hear about other web companies, and the ones we have built the studio to avoid.
Plain English, no jargon
Nobody should feel stupid in a meeting about their own business. If a term needs explaining, we explain it, as often as it takes.
You own everything
The site, the domain, the logins and the content, all in your name. Leaving is always possible, which is the only reason staying means anything.
One relationship
Your dealings are with Web X, always. Specialists join the work behind the scenes, and you never have to brief a stranger or chase an unfamiliar name.
An honest no
If a website is not what your business needs right now, or the budget would work harder elsewhere, we will say so. It costs us a job and saves you money.

Eleven-year-old miniature schnauzer. You will probably hear her on a video call, particularly if the postman arrives. Most of the tricky problems here get solved on her walks.
Our network
Copywriters, developers, photographers, SEO and advertising people we have worked with for years. They come in when a project needs a skill we do not have, or simply more hands, and they are briefed before they touch anything.
You will not have to deal with them. Your relationship stays with Web X, and so does the responsibility if something goes wrong.

Farm shops, clinics, consultants, bakers, trades, estate agents and startups. Some arrive with a dated site they have stopped being proud of. Others have nothing yet and no idea where to start. Both are fine.
We are based in Hartley Wintney in Hampshire and work with businesses across the UK and overseas, as far afield as Australia. Local clients get a visit, and everyone else gets a video call and exactly the same attention.
